Mr David Nunns is a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon with specialist in gynaecology, oncology and vulval disease, based in Nottingham.
David completing his degree in Medicine from the University of Manchester. After qualifying in 1991, he completed specialist gynaecology training in Manchester, Derby and Leicester before completing subspeciality training in gynaecological oncology in Adelaide and Leicester. He completed a higher research degree (MD) in vulval disease in 1995. This research degree focused on women with vulval pain from vulvodynia. He is an accredited subspecialist in gynaecological oncology surgery.
Consultant in Gynaecology and Gynaecological Oncology at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust since 2002. A certified centre in Advanced Ovarian Cancer Surgery as recognised by European Society of Gynaecological Oncology.
David is a member of the gynaecological oncology team at Nottingham University Hospitals managing women with gynaecological cancer. He is an accredited colposcopist managing women with abnormal smears and runs a weekly clinic for women with vulval disease including vulval pain. David is also an accredited colposcopist registered with the BSCCP (British Society for the Study of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology).

David has undertaken Expert Witness work for the MDU and GMC fitness to practice hearings. His current caseload is around 120-130 reports a year, with an approximate distribution to date 64% Claimant, 35% Defendant, 1% Joint. He has provided live opinion evidence in court on one occasion. David he has undertaken specialist Expert Witness training.
David is the author of 64 peer-reviewed medical journal publications and 7 book chapters in core medical texts.
