Mr Abdalla Fayyad is a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon and Subspecialist in Urogynaecology, Laparoscopic Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, advanced endometriosis treatment and hysteroscopy. He is also a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology post in Jordan between 2019-2022, which was a combined academic and clinical post, involving both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, assessments and examinations. He is currently the Director of the Centre of Urogynaecology, Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Endometriosis in Amman, Jordan.
Mr Fayyad was appointed as an NHS Consultant at Luton and Dunstable University Hospital in 2009, with subspecialty training in urogynaecology and advanced laparoscopic surgery at St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester. He led the Urogynaecology and Laparoscopic Gynaecology Unit at Luton and Dunstable Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He received his doctorate at the University of London and was trained at some of the world’s leading centres in urogynaecology and laparoscopic surgery.
Mr Fayyad is one of the few gynaecologists in England and Europe providing advanced laparoscopic surgery for vaginal prolapse and incontinence in women, with extensive experience in laparoscopic treatment of advanced endometriosis and operative hysteroscopy.
His role involves running a tertiary referral unit in urogynaecology, advanced laparoscopic surgery and advanced endometriosis. He performs complex urogynaecological and advanced laparoscopic surgery procedures regularly, including advanced endometriosis surgery on a weekly basis and operative hysteroscopy for a range of benign and malignant gynaecological conditions. Mr Fayyad maintains his academic interests, and his current research interests include laparoscopic native tissue reconstruction in incontinence and prolapse surgery (he published the novel technique of laparoscopic autologous rectus fascial sling for stress urinary incontinence in BJOG, 2024, and evaluation of techniques of laparoscopic treatment of bowel endometriosis presented at the prestigious British Society for Gynaecologic Endoscopy annual meeting in 2026) . He also has extensive experience managing complications of gynaecological surgery, including genital tract fistula involving the bladder and bowel.

Mr Fayyad has extensive experience as an expert witness, with over 15 years of medicolegal expert report writing in the UK across clinical negligence and personal injury. He prepares approximately 30–40 reports per year, including breach of duty and causation, condition and prognosis, joint expert reports and addendum reports. He reports on both the claimant and defendant sides (approximately 80% claimant and 20% defendant) and has attended court twice, being successful on both occasions.
His reports are clear and comprehensive, avoid ambiguity and are supported by evidence from the medical literature and national and international guidelines.
In addition, his ongoing academic work, including leading a research team and publishing regularly with a particular interest in new techniques of laparoscopic treatment of deep bowel endometriosis; this ensures Mr Fayyad stays up to date with the latest global research findings, which is always reflected in his expert report writing.
