Details

Dr Mark Anthony was a Clinical Lecturer in Paediatrics at The University of Oxford from 1999-2005 and has been a Consultant in Neonatal Medicine since 2002. His main area of expertise is Neonatal Intensive Care, dealing with the sickest babies in the first months of life (preterm babies, sepsis, and congenital, surgical, cardiac and genetic conditions) and the complications of delivering intensive care. He also undertakes developmental follow up for the first two years of life.

Areas of specialist interest include:
Neonatal medicine 
Neonatal intensive care (predominantly first month of life; prematurity, genetic and syndromic conditions, newborn sepsis and brain injury)
Any medical problem up to 2 years old
 
Dr Anthony has extensive medicolegal experience, he commenced writing Medicolegal/Clinical Negligence reports in 2015. Undertaking approximately 30 per anum, with a Claimant/Defendant split of 50:50. He has court experience with 3 Coroners Court and 1 High Court of Justice appearances (best interest case - severe hydrocephalus)

o Missed opportunity to give magnesium sulphate & steroids
o Term baby with sepsis/congenital malformations

o Developmental dysplasia of the hip
