Chest Radiology
Dr Rizwan Malik is a Consultant Radiologist, with over 18 years experience in this post at the Royal Bolton Hospital, with experience of a range of senior clinical leadership roles at hospital and regional level.
Dr Malik completed medical training at the University of Cambridge, United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s & St Thomas’ in London, and Manchester’s Radiology Training Scheme before taking up a post as a consultant radiologist in 2006.
He was Divisional Medical Director for Diagnostics for 3 years and before that Divisional Governance Lead, Clinical Lead for Radiology as well as Lead Chest Radiologist for the Trust since 2007. He also has leadership experience in Industry.
He has attended the coroners court on behalf of the hospital to present an overview of the relevant radiology. He also has experience of writing reports for complaints and incidents.
Dr Malik has been writing medicolegal reports since 2014 with case conference experience. They are predominantly Claimant instructions. His medicolegal work covers general radiology with subspecialist area of interest of chest imaging including potential lung cancer; industrial lung disease such as asbestos related lung disease.
