Ms Hampton is a highly experienced wound care expert with over 30 years dedicated to wound healing and tissue viability. She qualified as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) in 1990 and has since developed extensive expertise in wound management, pressure ulcer prevention, and lymphoedema care. Ms Hampton holds advanced academic qualifications including an MA and BSc (Hons), along with a Diploma in Specialist Nursing Practice (DpSN).
She is the Director and co-founder of Wound Care Consultants Ltd, where she combines clinical expertise with consultancy, education, and expert witness services. Ms Hampton has participated as an expert witness in over 450 legal cases, providing professional opinions on wound care standards, clinical negligence, and patient management in medico-legal settings.
Passionate about advancing wound care, Ms. Hampton has contributed to product development, evaluation, and education within the field. She has been recognized internationally as a leading nurse specialist and has presented at multiple wound care and tissue viability conferences.
Her expert witness work is characterized by meticulous case review, clear communication, and thorough documentation analysis, assisting legal teams to understand complex clinical scenarios related to wound care.
