Mark is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors construction panel Adjudicator. He has 30+ years’ experience in construction and engineering. Mark has testified as an expert in quantum and has provided written and oral testimony under cross examination.He has experience of providing presentations in front of a Tribunal and has given evidence in witness conferencing forum (hot tubbing). Mark is regularly appointed to act as an expert, as well as an Adjudicator in construction and engineering disputes.
Mark acts as an expert witness for construction claims, adjudications, arbitration and civil proceedings, including those in the Technology and Construction Court within the High Court. He provides expert reports for construction disputes, in particular, those relating to quantum, building defects and remedial works, prolongation, disruption, and variations/compensation events. His experience includes working in the Middle East, South Africa, Asia, Mainland Europe, and the UK. Mark has worked for a variety of clients on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial/retail, hotels, schools/universities, MEP, waste to energy plants, power plants, civil, leisure, oil and gas, marine and rail. He has experience of commercial negotiations in construction projects with standard and bespoke forms of contracts.
Mark has recently been engaged as a subject matter expert to resolve disputes (in a dispute avoidance role) on a multibillion-pound mega project.
