Dr. Roderick Ley

I am a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist employed by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust since 2003. I am based at the Hellingly Centre (near Hailsham, East Sussex) which is a 60 bedded medium secure psychiatric hospital which provides in-patient treatment primarily for people from Sussex including Brighton and Hove.

I have experience of working with patients in a range of settings including secure hopsitals (High, Medium and Low) as well as community and prisons. 

I have undertaken a wide range of medicolegal work on behalf of solicitors, CPS and the Court including a number of homicides. I have given oral evidence in a number of different courts across the country including the Old Bailey. I have expertise in a wide range of mental disorders including psychosis, depression, PTSD, ASD. ADHD, Substance Misuse and learning difficulty.
