Siobhan McSweeney is a Registered General Nurse and Registered Midwife with over 35 years’ experience in various clinical and managerial roles within the health sector. In 2015, she set up MCS Case Management Ltd and has since worked as a nursing consultant and expert witness providing expert reports, to include quantum cost of care reports and case management reports.
She has developed her expertise over an extensive career, most recently employed as Assistant Director of Nursing, Bed Manager and Site Manager (Night Duty) at Tallaght Hospital, Dublin, for a period of 16 years up to 2015. One of the roles involved the investigation of adverse incidents and complaints made by patients, families, and staff members, both clinical and non-clinical, identifying the risks highlighted by the incidents and providing feedback to the relevant managers to include proffering solutions to prevent or limit a re-occurrence of the risks.
Expert Witness Services involve providing independent, professional opinions in legal cases, particularly in personal injury, medical negligence, occupational injury, and rehabilitation disputes. These reports and testimonies offer objective, evidence-based assessments that support courts, solicitors, and legal professionals in reaching fair settlements and decisions.

About MCS Case Management Ltd : Siobhan set up MCS Case Management in 2015, she has built up a dedicated team of professionals from a range of backgrounds, which include a team of nurses who prepare Expert Reports for the Courts and a team of Case Managers who provide Case management services to clients who have a catastrophic injury. MCS Case Management is an Irish based company with offices in Dublin and Cork, covering all of Ireland. We are a dedicated team of experts with a wealth of qualifications and experience and come from a range of backgrounds including nursing, nurse management, intellectual disability teaching and holistic therapy. We are registered with both An Bord Altranais (Nursing Board, Ireland) and the Teaching Council of Ireland. We meet the professional standards, guidelines and ethics of the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM) and the Case Management Society of the UK (CMSUK). We partake in continuous professional development both in house and externally in Ireland and the UK.
